One Time Out takes its namesake and instrumentation of saxophone/guitar/drums from Paul Motian's trio with Joe Lovano and Bill Frisell.

The group explores original music by saxophonist Michael Hudson-Casanova and guitarist Andrew Sudhibhasilp, as well as compositions by Motian, Frisell, Kenny Wheeler, Carla Bley, and others. Drummer Adam Shead provides a great range of dynamics and textures during the haunting melodies and searing improvisations this ensemble can offer.
