LAGOS: Improvisational Aesthetics

LAGOS is the musical duo of versatile producers Leo 123 and RADIUS, whose shared influences and creative interests come together in a sound that is both expressive and focused.

Drawing inspiration from 70's dub recordings, 80's House, and 90s hip-hop, LAGOS blends classic traditions with a forward-thinking approach to production. Their collaboration reflects both their individual roots and their evolution as a creative partnership emerging from Chicago—a city with a rich musical legacy and a lasting influence on global music culture. Continuing that tradition while forging their own path, LAGOS crafts music that is deeply informed by the past yet firmly rooted in the present.

Their work has received support and praise from respected tastemakers including: Jrocc (Beat Junkies, Stones Throw, Adventures In Stereo), LeFtO (StuBru, Brownswood Recordings), Nightmares On Wax (Warp Records), and more. LAGOS also presents an ongoing series of Jazz vinyl mixes, which can be found online, spanning over a decade.
