The Missing Piece is a Jazz Concept album by Sam Burns featuring Mario Dueñas on Keyboards, Gustavo Flores on Drumset, and an appearance by Rich Moore on Alto Saxophone. The goal was to create original music that was not only accessible to musicians but to all listeners while retaining a high level of musicianship and musical integrity. The overall concept of the album is the relationship between Conversation and Nature as explored by the musicians on each song. All tracks were recorded live in the studio (with minimal overdubs) and everything was a first take including the epic half hour long “Conversation Suite” that occupies side one of the album. 

What is “The Missing Piece”? Each listener will have to decide that for themselves.
