Javier Red Quartet brings together four distinctive voices in contemporary jazz: Javier Red (piano), Dakarai Barclay (trumpet), Jeff Wheaton (bass), and Daniel Gayden (drums). Drawing from West African rhythmic traditions, jazz tunes, original compositions, and adventurous improvisation, the quartet creates music that is both emotionally compelling and rhythmically sophisticated. Their debut album together, featuring Steve Coleman, is scheduled for release in February 2027.
