Livia Gazzolo is a Kurdish-American vocalist who has spent the past few years exploring the connectivity of cultures through music. Over the past decade, Livia has built an innovative musical repertoire that spans geography, epochs, language and musical genres. Her style pulls inspiration from the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, Blossom Dearies, Helen Merrill, and Elise Regina. With a combination of lilting vibrato, and middle eastern melisma, Livia intertwines original jazz melodies with Brazilian Tropicalia and Kurdish folk music to create a vibrant quilt of cultures in her latest releases.
