The Samples are a Chicago group comprised of Lionel “Brother El” Freeman on electronics and effects, and Isaiah Spencer on drums, percussion, and electronics. Together they create and play thru an array of snippets and sounds that lead to grooves such as house, boom bap, jazz, and go-go, as well as other rich sound palettes.

Lane Beckstrom is a seasoned musician and band member in the Chicago music scene - playing bass for the likes of Chance The Rapper & Nico Segal's critically acclaimed 'Surf' album by The Social Experiment, Resavoir, Knox Fortune, The JuJu Exchange, Kids These Days and more. Now he's stepping out on his own for the first time with a solo singer/songwriter album on the Fresh Selects label, co-produced by Chicago's own Paul Cherry.
