Kabir Dalawari is a Chicago-based drummer, composer, and educator whose work blends traditional jazz language with contemporary ideas shaped by African, Indian, and Western influences. A dedicated bandleader, he regularly presents his groups at key creative music spaces across the city, helping to shape Chicago’s jazz landscape. Offstage, he teaches drums, percussion, and ensemble playing at local schools and arts organizations, extending his impact to the next generation of improvisers.
