Indigo is a musical collective led by Aliyah Jones, a vocalist, composer, and curator based in Chicago. The importance of music was instilled in her at an early age. Every milestone, celebration, or simple journey to was scored with anything from the sultry serenades of Whitney Houston to the invigorating bounce of house music. Aliyah began her formal training at the Saint Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists, and most recently graduated from the Jazz Studies program at DePaul University. The music of Indigo centers her love of storytelling and exploration, while honoring the traditions of Jazz, RnB, and Neo-Soul. Her focus is now centered around her show series, Indigo Sessions, a space for those marginalized to tell their stories and share their creations.
