CHIRP Night returns to The Whistler with live sets by Desert Liminal (solo) and Ghost Days.
CHIRP Night is an evening where you can enjoy the music of CHIRP-curated local artists, Whistler cocktails, and the good feeling of supporting independent radio.
For Chicago-based musician Sarah Jane Quillin, Desert Liminal is a vehicle for experimental songwriting that centers dream-like poetry and melody within a cloud of layered analog synth textures. Desert Liminal's 2021 vinyl debut on Whited Sepulchre Records sold out its pressing, and the full band performed on bills with notable genre-adjacent acts like DEHD, Midwife, Deserta, and Laraaji, as well as live on NPR's WBEZ. Quillin also performs as a touring member of Accessory, and hosts the long-running experimental performance series Casual Agony.
Ghost Days is the solo project of Chicago-based musician, Alessia Kato. Blending elements of dream pop, post-punk, goth and shoegaze, Ghost Days is a sonic exploration through the dreamscape, leaving behind fragments of nostalgia, bittersweet memories, and the unknown.
