"SAY YES" is an audio-visual experience created by Chicago band, Rose Lake. The gallery installation is a dream scene made of yarn with hand-made crocheted elements by band members Preeti Samraj and Jade Carrico.

Colorful afghans of vivid patterns set the tone for a lighthearted and nostalgic experience. Vignettes of a home fill the space. The center of the installation features a dining table with food and drinks spilling over. Crocheted spaghetti and meatballs as well as a hamburger and fries start to levitate off the plate. A delicate wine glass has been accidentally knocked over, spilling wine onto the floor. A mouse is quick to find remnants of food under the table including pieces of french fries.

The classic comedy and tragedy masks are reworked into hanging crocheted star orbs depicting happiness and sadness. A dreamy music video on a vintage TV features the creators of this yarn simulation with colorful spotlights in geometric shapes amidst crocheted backdrops. A photograph hanging on the door shows a woman caught in this absurd simulation. This is her dream.

"Say Yes" is an invitation to have fun, make-believe, and lean into the playfulness and absurdity of life.
