Shy Watson is coming to Chicago to share work from her new book, Cheap Yellow from Civil Coping Mechanisms. She will be joined by Alex Wennerberg, Doe Parker, and Katie Burke.

Shy Watson is a poet and painter living in Brooklyn. She wrote Cheap Yellow (CCM 2018) as well as four chapbooks. Her work appears in places like ENTROPY, The Rumpus, & Hobart. Keep up with her and her bullshit @localsingle69.

Alex is a poet and software developer in Chicago, IL. His collection harm is available through Bottlecap Press check him out on twitter @alexwennrberg and submit to his new literary magazine sorryididntseeyou.com.

Doe Parker is a trans poet/essayist from the Bay Area currently based out of Chicago. He has a B.A. in poetry from Columbia College Chicago, and has work forthcoming in Callosum Magazine, and EOAGH. His book “the good house & the bad house” just came out of Recenter Press in April, he co-curates the Chimera reading series, and is working on a new manuscript, Vestibule.

Katie Burke is a writer living in Chicago and she is trying her best. She is a 2017 pushcart nominee and you can find her work on The Fanzine, Crabfat Magazine and others.
