Our in-house record label is a unique example of an evolved relationship between music venue and artist. Beyond just providing a stage for bands to perform on, we've taken the relationship one step further by providing some of our favorite local artists with the means of producing, distributing, and promoting their music. Much like the music on our stage, Whistler Records' catalog features an eclectic mix of everything from rock and pop to jazz and hip-hop.
The Blue Ribbon Glee Club performs punk rock classics, a cappella. Formed in 2007—long before the current Glee craze—they're the biggest, most fun collective of musicians in town this side of Mucca Pazza. Featuring 30+ members, a chorus of voices signing guitar riffs and bass lines, with no instrumentation save for minimal percussion, they present classics such as "California Uber Alles" by The Dead Kennedys, "Where Eagles Dare" by The Misfits, and "Spanish Bombs" by The Clash in way you've never heard before. The overall effect is like that of having having a group of carolers show up at your doorstep singing songs you actually like.
