Each year on New Year's Eve, The Whistler highlights a new resident DJ or performer; and this year we present the newest crown jewel of our monthly programming calendar: Research & Development. R&D is a music series focused on cutting-edge electronic sounds and dance music. Resident DJs JS Alvarez and Makeen, along with NYE special guest Kona FM, explore techno culture and the various electronic genres and movements that mutated from it.

R&D not only refers to the music here, but also how The Whistler approaches its inventive cocktail program: always researching and developing new flavors, combinations, and presentations. On NYE, our menu will feature the Whistler bar team's favorite drinks from 2022 — and we will preview some from the coming year, as well.

NYE tickets are $60 Advance ($75 Week Of) and include 3 drinks (2 drink tickets + midnight toast), tax, gratuity, and guaranteed entry. Drink tickets are good for any Whistler menu cocktail, beer, cider, wine, or highball/spirit ($13 & under). A full menu of non-alcoholic options is also available.

The Whistler is a bar, gallery, record label, and venue that hosts live music and DJs. Our award-winning cocktail program features an always-changing menu of classics, contemporary favorites, and Whistler originals. Opened in 2008, our stage hosts an eclectic mix of jazz, DJs, film screenings, readings, and various other artistic endeavors.
