Crown Larks got its start in a basement by the Bob Inn some time last year. Saxophone, guitar, and keys of many stripes caravan through volume hypnosis, feedback death rattles, psychedelicate chamber music space lullabies, and damage control against drums channeling grooves from motorik to Motown to Mitch Mitchell.
Pioneers of their instruments and wizards of improvisation, Gunnelpumpers (pictured) is an instrumental ensemble that creates compelling worlds of sound from simple grooves. This group of accomplished musicians is able to draw forth music that is fresh, unadulterated, and rarely premeditated. Their music is infused with a myriad of styles in ways that sound like nothing else.
