Songwriter Cameron McGill has been carving out a place for himself over the years through relentless touring and a growing list of self-released albums. His fifth and most recent release, Is A Beast (Post-Important), was released in April of last year following 2009's Warm Songs for Cold Shoulders (Parasol). The album is streaming here.
2009 saw McGill joining Indianapolis's Margot & the Nuclear So and So's, for whom he plays keys. He is currently at work on a collection of poems, as well as a new album, Gallows Etiquette, which he is funding via PledgeMusic.com. When not on tour, he can be found singing for his supper in Chicago.
For this show, McGill will be joined by drummer Charlie Koltak (Judah Johnson), bassist Rodrigo Palma (Judah Johnson/Saves The Day), saxophonist Jonathon Edwards (The Right Now), and pedal steel player Mike Racky (Village).
